SARATOGA – The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a 24-year old suspect for child molestation offenses.  The suspect, Jansen Estrada was teaching soccer at Prospect High School in Saratoga when he became acquainted with a 14-year old female player.

Once in contact with the young teen, he soon began to sexually assault the victim. Estrada was believed to have committed sexual offenses including oral copulation, penetration with a foreign object, and sexual battery.

Sheriff’s Deputies learned of the sexual assault on February 16th, 2019, at approximately 4:46 pm when they responded a call by the victim’s mother who believed that her daughter may be a victim of sexual assault.

On February 18th, 2019, deputies assigned to the West Valley Patrol Division arrested 24-year old Jansen Estrada for various sexual charges, including molestation of a person under the age of 18.

“It is a deplorable act to be in a position of power and prey on the innocence of a young girl. As a law enforcement agency, we are committed to protecting those who are most vulnerable. This is a reminder to have an open dialogue with your children and stay vigilant by monitoring their activity.” said Sheriff Laurie Smith.
