YUCAIPA – A report of the sexual abuse of two minors came in to the Yucaipa Sheriff’s station on October 1st.

Jose Isabel Martinez was named as the perpetrator. An investigation revealed that Martinez taught sixth grade at Frisbie Middle School in Rialto.

Further, although the two victims were familiar with Martinez, they were not his students.

It turns out that the two victims were sexually assaulted by Martinez “numerous times, over the course of a few years.”

Therefore, on January 8 authorities arrested Martinez for continuous sexual abuse to a minor. His bail was set at $700,000.

The SBSD says, “Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are releasing Martinez’ booking photograph. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Specialized Investigation Division, Crimes Against Children Detail, Detective J. Melrose (909) 387-3615. Callers wishing to remain anonymous are urged to call the We-Tip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463).”
