KINGS COUNTY – A passenger in a vehicle stopped by Kings County Sheriff Deputies for a vehicle code violation, tried to hide drugs when deputies pulled the vehicle over.  A K-9, called in to help, found his stash.

On October 13th at 3:30 the deputies conducted a traffic stop at 10th and Houston Avenues in Hanford. One of the vehicle’s occupants was acting in a suspicious manner, as if he was trying to hide something.

A K-9 was already on scene, so the deputies had it conduct a search of the car where it subsequently detected drugs.  Three pounds of methamphatime as well as a loaded handgun were discovered.

The passenger Tom Lozano, was arrested and now faces charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of narcotics for sale and transportation of narcotics.
