EUREKA – The Eureka Police Department arrested a woman who smashed the windows of two businesses on Friday October 18th.

Officers were initially dispatched to the 400 block of 2nd street just after 5:00 p.m. after receiving reports that someone threw an unknown item through the window of a business at that location.

Shortly afterward, another business on the 700 block of 5th Street reported a similar incident.

This time the vandal broke a window with a metal pipe.

In both cases, the reporting parties gave similar descriptions of a female suspect. Officers promptly came upon 35-year-old Amber Robina Adams nearby, who then fled the scene.

Once officers caught her, Adams resisted and was detained “after a brief altercation.”

Witnesses from both incidents positively identified Adams as the vandal.  She now faces two counts of vandalism as well as resisting arrest. Her bail at the Humboldt County Correctional Facility is $55,000.
