Delivery Man Attacked for Wrong Order

VISALIA -32-year old Brian Hughes attacked a man working for a food delivery service in Visalia Sunday night. When officers arrived they took the victim’s statement.

He reported that Hughes angrily slapped the food out of his hand when he tried handing it over. Hughes exclaimed the food order was incorrect and brandished a knife and stabbed the delivery man in the left arm. The delivery man fled to a safe place and contacted police.

Police arrested Hughes at the delivery location, a house on the 4700 block of West School. They charged him with assault with a deadly weapon.

Finally, law enforcement booked Hughes into the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility. The man who was stabbed refused medical treatment as his injuries were superficial.
