ROSEVILLE – On September 18 a man struck a woman in the face in his robbery attempt. The incident occurred at an ATM on the 2000 block of Douglas Boulevard.

The suspect came up to the woman and demanded money. She at first did not comply, whereupon he hit her in her face with his closed fist. Then he again demanded money and this time she complied.

The victim withdrew money and gave it to 34-year-old Brian G. Stanley, who then fled.

The victim gave law enforcement a description of her attacker.

The next day officers recognized the suspect as they patrolled the area. They detained Stanley and got a full confession out of him.

On October 28, 2017 Stanley had his probation revoked.

The press releases adds, ” To the residents of Roseville, we encourage you to stay vigilant about your safety. Anytime you’re in a vulnerable position, be aware of your surroundings. There are people in every community looking to rob or steal. Don’t be there next victim.”
