Shirtless Man Flees Altercation, Caught in a Nearby Field

VALLEY SPRINGS – The shirtless man fled after an altercation with two females at a residence in the 6000 block of Highway 26.

Deputies responded to the home after a call concerning the altercation. 28-year-old Nicholas Kohring got into it with the two females as they visited him.

The pair came to the residence after “being at a bar the night before.” Kohring allegedly prevented them from leaving at first, threatening them.

responding deputies saw a shirtless male running form the back of the residence.  Patrol lights and an air horn did not deter the shirtless Kohring.

As he ran through neighboring yards, detectives set up the standard perimeter. Consequently they arrested him in a nearby field.

Kohring’s charges are –

  • False Imprisonment 236PC;
  • Criminal Threats 422PC;
  • Battery 242PC;
  • Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance 11550H&S;
  • and Resisting/Obstructing/Delaying Officers 148(a)(1)PC.

Kohring’s bail is $125,000. The press release says, “Alcohol consumption and narcotics use is suspected to be a factor in this case.”
