BADGER – Burglars hit a property on the 53000 block of Whitaker Forest Road on October 6th.

As a result, Fresno and Tulare County detectives arrived on site to investigate. Although the property is part of Fresno County, the Tulare County Sheriff Agricultural Crimes Unit assisted during the investigation.

The next day, Tulare County Detectives and Patrol Deputies checked out a home on the 22200 block of Carson Ave in Exeter. They found several of the stolen items at the property and alerted Fresno County who sent detectives to the residence.

In all, Tulare and Fresno County Detectives searched three homes. They recovered five stolen vehicles and over 60 pieces of stolen property, including antique equipment, totaling about $26,000. Authorities returned the items to their rightful owners that same day.

Consequently, detectives arrested two men in connection to the burglary:

  • 28-year old Phillip Lowe of Exeter, charged with possession of stolen property;
  • Lemon Cove resident Nathan Reed, 24, charged with possession of stolen property, committing a felony while on bail, and drug-related charges.

Lowe and Reed are in custody at the Tulare County Pre-trial Facility.
