‘Prolific’ Burglary Suspect Nabbed by SFPD

SAN FRANCISCO – The SPD arrested a “prolific” burglary suspect on September 12 at 6:30 a.m.

61-year-old George Lima is now behind bars for his alleged crimes. Authorities say Lima went on a residential burglary spree between August 14 and September 7 of this year.

In some of these incidents Lima “stole items such as bicycles, laptops, electronics and currency.”

Most burglaries occurred in the Mission and Ingleside police districts.

Authorities estimate the total value of losses at $115,000.00 worth of items.

On the 12th patrolling officers spotted the suspect and recognized him from Crime Alerts. They arrested him around 22nd Street and Capp Street.

Finally, Lima faces two counts of first degree burglary, two counts of attempted burglary and one count of robbery. Investigators continue pursuing further information in this case.
