At 10:40 on September 13 LPPD officers went to Wilmott Avenue and Santa Ana Street about a shooting. A gold Chevy Silverado pursued and fired upon another vehicle.

Then the man and woman called the police as well to confirm their recent experience. As they slept in their vehicle, their dog began to bark at a man approaching their vehicle.

The man retreated to his Silverado. Then he and his buddy drove up, “pointing a gun at the pair.”

The couple drove away and, at the intersection mentioned above, one of the men in the Silverado fired upon them. Several shot shit their vehicle.

Soon after, another call came in to the LBPD about a rollover collision. A description of the vehicle matched that of the Silverado. Officers arrived, and detained the pair inside. They also found a .45 caliber handgun.

Law enforcement arrested the driver, 22-year-old Miguel Ibanez and his passenger, 18-year-old Daniel Estrada.

Their charges include –

  •  including attempted murder;
  • conspiracy;
  • maliciously and willfully discharge of a firearm at an occupied motor vehicle;
  • gross and negligent discharge of a firearm;
  • and other related weapons charges.

Bail for the pair is $910,000 each.
