It started with a call to the KCSO at 10:20 p.m.  The caller said that his wife may have been shot. The call came from a residence in the 25700 block of Dinkey Avenue.  This is near the end of 255th Street West.

The suspect fired upon the arriving sergeant’s patrol vehicle by the front passenger door. The shooter did not strike the sergeant with any rounds. Then the KSO representative moved his vehicle to a safe spot.

SWAT also arrived, as well as the KCSO helicopter. Soon they located the suspect “standing outside his residence in the 25900 block of Sue Avenue.”

In addition, the suspect “held a long gun.”

Deputies surrounded the house.  Law enforcement talked to the suspect and convinced him to come outside. Once outside, deputies took 65-year-old Harvey Jensen into custody.

Most noteworthy, no citizen, officer or suspect suffered injuries as a result of this incident.
