HANFORD – She tried to set her parents on fire. Thankfully she was unsuccessful.

A call came in to Hanford police on Saturday about “an out-of-control person.”  Officers went to a residence in the 1100 block of Pleasant Way.

Officers received further information that the female suspect broke into the residence and “sprayed the occupants with gasoline.”

Then on scene officers encountered 36-year-old Celia De Los Santos, under the influence of meth.

The home belonged to De Los Santos’ parents, who were washing gasoline out of their eyes.

Their daughter continued trying to light the gasoline with a lighter.  Her mother tried to restrain her. In return, De Los Santos hit her mother in the face, causing severe injury to her mother’s eye.”

After her arrest the suspect now has a bail of $1 million.
