CHINO – A burglar who stole $50,000 in valuables from a home is now arrested.

On July 11 a home on the 14700 block of Willamette Avenue in Chino suffered a break-in and burglary. Surveillance video captured the suspect in the act and the Chino PD shared it on their Facebook page.

As a result, a citizen contacted the CPD with a tip. Then investigating detectives identified 43-year-old Pomona resident Octavius Jamal Woodard as the suspect.

Finally, “Detectives located and arrested Woodard in the city of Long Beach.”

His charge is for burglary. Woodard had, since the burglary, pawned some of the stolen items.  The CPD reports that  they have since that time recovered the pawned items.

They also add that “the investigation is ongoing.”
