ANDERSON – Once again K-9 Fritz helps make an arrest this time a pair of drug-toting ladies.

Lat eat night on august 13 a deputy patrolled near Erika Lane and Happy Valley Road. A Toyota pickup drove by without its headlights on, attracting the deputy’s attention.

In addition, the Toyota had expired license plates. The driver, 44-year-old Tina Annette Rose, got off with a vehicle code violation and released.

However, with the passenger, 53-year-old Redding resident Tedi Ellen Vierra, it was a different story.

Vierra was on probation for possession of a loaded/concealed firearm. Due to that fact, it raised the deputy’s suspicion when she went for her purse and tried to reach inside of it.

The deputy asked Vierra to exit the vehicle and brought K-9 Fritz to the vehicle for a search. Turns out Vierra did not have a gun in her purse, but drugs.

Deputies discovered a half pound of meth, a glass meth pipe, a digital scale and plastic packaging.

Vierra’s charges are possession of controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance and violation of probation.
