SUSANVILLE – A man robbed a Susanville bank and in his escape attempt crossed the border into Nevada. That is where his exploit ended.

The robbery occurred on August 10 at 5:55 p.m. on the 900 block of Main Street.  The white male adult drove off in a white Ford utility type of truck. He wore a green shirt and had facial hair.

An officer spotted the truck in the Walmart parking lot and tried to stop it. The suspect fled to Highway 36, and then Highway 395.

Other agencies joined the pursuit – LCSD and CHP. In fact, even more agencies joined in the pursuit as the suspect crossed the border over into Nevada.

Now the Nevada Highway patrol and Washoe County Sheriff Department helped out and subsequently took him into custody.

39-year-old Sacramento resident Noah David Bodwell now likely faces robbery charges for starters.
