In contrast, Brunner drove on an expired driver’s license.  Above all, in his vehicle he had a loaded handgun with the serial numbers removed.

Most noteworthy, Brunner is a convicted felon, and that did not help his case.

His charges include –

  • driving on a suspended license;
  • unauthorized person in an evacuation area;
  • convicted felon in possession of a firearm;
  • convicted felon in possession of ammunition;
  • concealed firearm in a vehicle; possession of firearm with serial number removed.

Brunner’s bail is $25,000.

“The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the public that if they live in an evacuated area and have not evacuated, they are asked to stay at their property and shelter in place.”
