HEMET – The old adage asserts that “no good thing happens after midnight.” Two officers cruising after midnight on July 5 again proved that true. First, they spotted  a suspicious car near Lemon Street and Jefferson Avenue at 3:40 am.

As the officers approached, the car took off. The MPD notes that “the pursuit traveled through west Murrieta to Wildomar.” Then the chase went into Hemet.

That is when they hit into a spike strip at SR-79 and Highway 74. The fleeing vehicle drove on three flat tires until it crashed at Devonshire Street and Sanderson Avenue.

Finally, officers arrested all three suspects –

  • Jorge Garcia of National City, the driver;
  • Carlos Lopez of Perris; and,
  • Stephanie Seeley of Hemet.

Seeley had two felony warrants out  on her. Lopez was on formal probation for weapons related charges.

The car contained stolen mail from Murrieta.  “All three won a one way trip to #CBDC and they remain in custody.”
