HOLLISTER –On July 4 the HPD discovered an Oregon fugitive near Vista Park Hill.

It was 11:45 am when an officer on patrol spotted an occupied vehicle in the handicapped parking space.

At first, it appeared as if the three people in the vehicle were sleeping in it.

The person in the driver’s seat was “initially uncooperative.” He stated that he was transient. Further checking into his status revealed that he had a sexual assault fugitive warrant out of Oregon.

20-year-old Shaun Allen Heflin already faces charges for “rape, rape of a child and other sexual assault charges.”

Although he hails from Colorado, “The State of Oregon advised they would extradite Heflin nationwide if arrested.”

For now Heflin is at the Sen Benito County Jail.
