FAIRFIELD – As four people sat in their vehicle, two others attempted to carjack them. The one of the would-be thieves pulled a gun and shot the driver before leaving empty handed.

It happened on June 1 at 4:00 pm on Wilson Street at Bell Avenue.

Then, when the pair left, the shot driver drove away. His injuries were not life threatening.

Investigators worked and eventually identified the two suspects.

Finally, on June 20, they arrested 18-year-old Isaiah Taylor on “charges related to the carjacking and shooting.”

Taylor was just out on bail from a June 14 gun possession arrest.

The next day police also arrested Taylor’s accomplice, a 16-year-old juvenile.
