STOCKTON – The scammer targeted Target REDcard holders.  41-year-old Boone B. Khoonsrivong recently received a sentence of 5 years and 5 months in prison for his misdeeds.

The SPD press releases says, “Between March 2014 and September 2015, Khoonsrivong and eight others stole personal information from victims.”

In brief, their scheme affected over 1,000 people across the U.S.

The release adds, “Part of the scheme involved using unauthorized access devices in the form of Target REDcard account numbers. This then led to buying large amounts of electronics, pre-paid gift cards, and other goods at Target locations.”

The group “used or possessed over 300 counterfeit and unauthorized access devices.”  The other eight individuals have already pled guilty and six have already received their sentence.

In addition, the suspect also received a sentence “to a concurrent term of three years for destruction of letter boxes.” This occurred in Wallace, California, charged in a separate indictment.
