LINCOLN – Four people conducted a home invasion robbery during the night of May 1. An observant deputy spotted the quartet as they drove and….you know how this story ends.

The incident occurred on Hungry Hollow Road when the four broke into a home and held the resident at gunpoint. They bound the resident, stole four pounds of marijuana as well as a gun and clothing. Before leaving, they ransacked the house.

The resident’s 911 call went out afterwards, and a deputy spotted the getaway car in Roseville. Fellow deputies, a K-9 and CHP airplane worked together to stop them at Capital City Freeway and Watt Avenue.

A search of the car produced all of the items recently stolen from the Lincoln residence. The arrestees are Jeremiah Stephens (19), Marcel Perkins (19) and Louis James (20), as well as a 17-year-old juvenile. Police believe they all hail from the Sacramento area.

Their charges include home invasion robbery, kidnapping, carrying a loaded firearm and grand theft.
