After an early morning chase, 54-year-old Donald Windfield is in custody today facing many misdemeanor and felony charges. Windfield and a second suspect tripped the Sonitrol Alarm at a Central Unified School District maintenance yard this morning at approximately 5:07 AM.

Deciding to challenge officers to an early morning race packed with literal hurdles, Windfield jumped a fence and headed south. Officer Herrera was not shaken in his purposeful pursuit. After suspect and officer jumped several more fences, the officer finally apprehended and handcuffed Windfield.

Besides burglarizing a “C” Train and two other cars at the yard, the duo stole several power tools when they activated the alarm. The FPD charged parolee Windfield with burglary, resisting arrest, trespassing, grand theft, and possession of stolen goods.

The second suspected managed to get away for now but video surveillance footage captured his image.
