LOS MOLINOS – The Crosslands 6 Market was the scene on Monday evening of a theft when someone stole a display box containing $1283 worth of lottery tickets.

The clerk on duty called 911 and deputies arrived. It turns out a witness followed the black Saturn SUV as it pulled out of the parking lot.  The witness stayed with the vehicle as it went north on Highway 99.

An investigator with the DA’s office was nearby and stopped the vehicle.  30-year-old Redding resident Francisco Javier Palos Jr was arrested while the tickets were still in his vehicle. 36-year-old Red Bluff resident Donna Otlowski was also arrested. Palos had exited the vehicle after they had left the store and Palos took over driving.

Otlowski was driving the SUV, backing it up to the store so Palos could quickly exit. Both suspects were charged with burglary and their bail was set at $100,000 each.
