Woman’s Dying Screams Lead Police to her Murderer…Her Son

RANCHO CUCAMONGA – In the early hours of Wednesday morning the SBSD received a call during which they heard a woman’s screams in the background.

Deputies responded to the apartment in the 11100 block of Etiwanda Ave. where the call originated and found a woman suffering from several serious stab wounds. The victim, 53-year-old Sean Carla Stanley, died at the scene.

Her son, 27-year-old Andrew Stanley-Powel, was arrested and charged in his mother’s murder.
