WEAVERVILLE – On March 29th a man was badly beaten on Weaver Belly Road. He was taken to the hospital where he remains in stable condition. His recollection of the events is unclear due to the head trauma he suffered.
The investigation slowly proceeded as authorities contacted witnesses and pursued those leads in an attempt to discover who committed this crime.
Eventually, Dustin Tobiassen, Robert Leighton and Joel Andrade were charged with battery with great bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon and mayhem with permanent disfigurement of a victim. Andrade was also charged with violation of probation.
The TCSO says, “If there are any additional witnesses tot he incident, which have yet to be identified or contacted by law enforcement, please contact Detective Josh Ford at 530-623-8106.”
