Pair arrested following robbery

Moreno Valley – Two people were arrested in connection with an early morning armed robbery on March 28 in which the victim was pepper sprayed, punched, and had his car keys and cash stolen.

The incident occurred around 4:54 a.m. in Moreno Valley in front of a residence on the 24600 block of Eucalyptus Avenue. The victim said he was approached by two people who pepper sprayed him, punched him, and simulated holding a handgun and demanded his money and car keys.

The victim cooperated and contacted police shortly after the robbery. During a subsequent search of the area, a witness led police to a nearby apartment where the suspects were located. Police recovered pepper spray and the items stolen from the victim at the scene of the arrest.

Riverside County Sheriffs arrested Patrice Jackson, 29, of Moreno Valley, on charges of robbery and violating Post Release Community Supervision.

Jackson is being held without bail at the Robert Presley Detention Center. Malik Nicholsel, 27, of Moreno Valley was arrested for robbery and is being held on $30,000 bail.
