SLOSD Announce Result of 17-Month Drug Investigation

SAN LUIS OBISPO – On Thursday the SLOSD announced the result of a narcotics investigation that began in November 2016 and culminated in  fourteen arrests.

Authorities dubbed it “a major methamphetamine and heroin distribution network.”  The Narcotics Unit seized $850,000 work of meth and $136,000 worth of heroin.

The SLO group also had associates in Los Angeles, and authorities  seized $500,000 worth of cocaine from an address there.

The NU believe that when they arrested Jaime Vega in November 2016 they arrested the leader of this drug gang.  They also believe Enrique Garcia took over the operation after Vega’s arrest, with ties to Mexico.’

Garcia has reportedly fled to Mexico and a warrant for his arrest has been issue. His girlfriend Gabriela Bucio took over control of the operation with a warrant out for her arrest as well.

In all, 14 arrests were made and 5 warrants are outstanding.
