“The house” lost on March 14th when an illegal casino was shut down in Visalia. The casino was being run out of a business on 1132 North Ben Maddox Way by Tammy Gomes, 53, and James Booher, 52. They were both arrested and bail was set at $50,000 for each of them.

At least 17 people were “doubling down” when police showed up. Some had outstanding warrants and were arrested. A licensed casino employee was also on the premises and received a citation for violating gaming policies. It was not disclosed which Indian casino employed this person.

Gambling arrest

Farmersville Police Department walked a drug sniffing dog through and around the outside of the business. Almost a pound of methamphetamine was discovered. Gaming machines and $2500 in cash were also entered as evidence.
