COLUMBIA // The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man for a host of charges, including elder abuse, after he allegedly assaulted a 65-year-old woman.

Just after midnight on Saturday, January 20th, deputies arrived at a home on Marble Quarry Road, where they learned that the woman had been physically assaulted by 49-year-old Robbie Davis.

Davis, reportedly a friend of the victim, is said to have struck her on the arm, thrown her to the ground, kicked her, and beat her over the head with a metal object, which causing a small laceration.

At some point, Davis also ripped a cabinet off the garage wall. He then took two sets of keys — to the woman’s car and house — and fled the scene.

Eventually, Davis returned to the home, at which point he was promptly arrested. He is now housed at the Tuolumne County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, battery causing great bodily injury, vandalism, petty theft, cruelty to an elder, and theft from an elder.
