TURLOCK // Police are investigating a case of vandalism after discovering that an apartment complex on West Monte Vista had been intentionally flooded on the morning of January 14th.

Just before 1 AM, officers and members of the Turlock Fire Department arrived at Vista Apartments after receiving a report of major flooding. The flooding and resulting damage were reportedly so extensive that Turlock PD detectives were also called in to ascertain the cause.

Detectives were soon able to determine that multiple water valves had intentionally been opened, “allowing water from the fire suppression system to flood the building.” A review of CCTV footage (below) from the complex revealed multiple individuals who may have been involved.

As the investigation continues, anyone who may have information relevant to the case is strongly encouraged to contact Detective Jason Tosta at 209-664-7324. The Department can also be reached via Tip Line at 209-668-5550 (ext. 6780) or e-mail at tpdtipline@turlock.ca.us.
