FREMONT // Police are looking for suspects in connection to an armed robbery that occurred at a residence at the intersection of Summit Drive and Mello Street on January 7th.

At around 2:43 AM, responding officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. They learned that the two had been at their home on the 3000 block of Summit Drive when suspicious noises drew them outside, where they discovered four people burglarizing a vehicle in their driveway.

When the victims tried to intervene, one of the suspects drew a gun and shot both of them at least once. All four suspects then fled the scene, heading north on Mello Street to Mountain Avenue. Police established a large perimeter and utilized the assistance of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office and UCPD, as well as an apprehension K-9 and Fremont Fire’s AUV.

Unfortunately, the suspects were not found and remain at large. They are described as two men and two women, all of Hispanic ethnicity.

The victims were treated at a trauma center for non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone who may have information relevant to the case or leading to the suspects’ whereabouts is encouraged to contact Fremont PD at 510 – 790 – 6800.
