WILLITS // On December 7th, a traffic enforcement stop on Meadowbrook Drive quickly turned into a DUI arrest after the driver displayed signs of being under the influence.

Just before 8 PM, a Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled over a car on the 21300 block of Meadowbrook Drive. The driver, 40-year-old Daniel Garcia, turned out to be on formal probation, with terms explicitly mandating compliance with all laws.

While the two spoke, the deputy noticed Garcia appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance and conducted multiple tests, the results of which were enough cause to arrest Garcia.

He is now housed at the Mendocino County Jail on charges of recent use of a controlled substance and violation of probation.
