LAMONT – Recently a residence on the 8200 block of Gail Marie Drive drew the attention of the Gang Suppression Unit, and an investigation ensued.

On Thursday the Kern County SWAT team executed a search warrant and detained several people, arresting two of them.

60-year-old Ruben Sanchez was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a  gang member and maintaining a home for the sales of a controlled substance. His bail was set at $167,500.

Francisco Estrada was arrested for possession of a firearm by a gang member, participation in a criminal street gang and other firearm related charges. His bail was set at $155,000.
