Illegal marijuana grow catches police attention; Sheriff’s Office investigating

VALLEY SPRINGS // On December 7th, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a home on Delin Way pursuant to an illegal marijuana grow operation.

Though no suspects were at the residence, authorities have nonetheless identified a number of them.

Arriving deputies found that the entire house and garage had been used for the grow-op, with only a small space in one room designated as living quarters.

In total, deputies seized 1,220 marijuana plants, as well as a large amount of cash and a vehicle.
