Midnight Drive By Shooting Injures Three Men in Barstow

BARSTOW – Late Thursday night the Barstow Police Department received several calls about multiple gunshots being fired at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Borrego Drive.

Further calls alerting to multiple gunshot victims were also received while officers were en-route to the location. Upon arriving at the scene, police came upon three males suffering from gunshot wounds. The three victims were tended to by responding paramedics and taken to Barstow Community Hospital.

Investigators soon discovered a parked vehicle on Borrego Drive with multiple bullet holes as well as other evidence related to the shooting.  Several witnesses who described how the incident occurred were also located. Apparently a white sedan drove up on the trio as they stood outside in front of the apartment complex. As it drove past, occupants of the vehicle fired at the three and then sped away.

The victims have been identified as Lemark Rachal, Toney Hodge, and Donte Purvis.
