Parolee heads back to jail for domestic violence, drug charges

GARBERVILLE // On September 2nd just before 12 PM, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on the 800 block of Redwood Drive to investigate a reported domestic violence incident.

Authorities discovered that 29-year-old Brandon Marcum, a CA Department of Corrections parolee already wanted for parole violations, was found in possession of 59 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

In total, Marcum is charged with domestic violence causing injury, assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, battery with force causing great bodily injury, intimidating or preventing a victim from reporting a crime, and possession of a controlled substance for sale.

He is housed at the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and, due to his parole status, is ineligible for bail.
