SJPD announce arrest of suspects linked to downtown shooting

SAN JOSE — The San Jose Police Department has announced the arrest of two suspects in the shooting deaths of two victims in the downtown area on July 28, 2016. After an investigation in search of witnesses and the possible motive for the shooting, the SJPD has found enough evidence to book the two individuals who have been arrested awaiting further charges.

Witnesses were able to identify 20-year-old Edwin Verduo along with 22-year-old Meneses Rangel as they encountered 25-year-old Isaac David Brown, whom during an argument opened fire on both victims as 29-year-old Raymond Gabriel Estrada helped keep both victims at bay before Brown fatally shot them.

According to Sgt. Enrique Garcia, “Suspect Isaac Brown was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on two counts of murder and suspect Raymond Estrada was booked for accessory after the fact.” Brown was held without bail and Estrada’s bail was set at $296,000.
