SANTA ROSA // On August 24th just after 3:30 in the afternoon, Santa Rosa PD dispatched officers to the area of Petaluma Hill and Kawana Springs Road to investigate reports of a stolen vehicle.

A responding officer found the vehicle at Petaluma & Ware, occupied by a lone male driver.

An enforcement stop was attempted, but the driver hit the gas and sped off. A short pursuit followed, heading northbound on Petaluma Hill Road and then northbound on Santa Rosa Avenue.

The chase then continued eastbound on Sonoma, at which point the chase was called off due to traffic conditions and speed.

Not long after, the vehicle was found unoccupied in the area of Woodview Drive.

The suspect — identified as 31-year-old Daniel Robbins — was found nearby and arrested for evading a police officer, possession of a stolen vehicle, vehicle theft, vehicle theft with priors, and two warrants.
