VALLEY SPRINGS — On August 16th just before 6:30 AM, Calaveras County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at Foothill Pharmacy to investigate a commercial alarm.

On scene, the deputies discovered that the place had been ransacked and medications stolen.

No suspects were found inside, but surveillance footage showed two men forcing entry through the back door.

One of the suspects is described as a “black male subject wearing a silver hoodie (with some illegible writing on the front), dark pants with a light colored belt, white tennis shoes, red gloves and carrying a small crow bar or blue nail puller.”

The second suspect “appears to be wearing a mask concealing his face, a gray hoodie with a European soccer club logo on the front (Barcelona), blue jeans, silver Nike shoes, black gloves and carrying a sledge hammer.”

Pending an inventory, the amount of medication stolen is still unknown.

The investigation is ongoing.
