MODESTO — 25-year-old Matthew Boone was arrested early Friday morning, August 4th, after a traffic stop revealed a warrant for his arrest.
A search of his vehicle during the stop turned up burglary tools, several articles of stolen mail, and methamphetamine.
Property Crimes detectives worked with police to assemble a search warrant for Boone’s home on the 3000 block of Breckenridge. More stolen mail and around 40 stolen credit cards were found, along with “property belonging to the United States Postal Service.”
Police believe Boone has been responsible for multiple mailbox break-ins throughout northeast Modesto.
Boone has since been booked into the Stanislaus County Jail for the above-mentioned charges, as well as for committing a crime while out on bail.
