Fire at a Marijuana Grow House

Fire at a Marijuana Grow House

RANCHO CUCAMONGA — The RCFD responded to a fire call at 9472 Cedar Glen Court early on Sunday morning.

As personnel put out the fire, they came on a marijuana grow inside.

Deputies were called and served a search warrant.  They discovered over 800 marijuana plants.

It was apparent that the resident(s) of the house were stealing electricity to run the operation, using advanced lighting, fans, air conditioning, exhaust blowers, and air-filtering.

As the investigation continues, police have yet to identify or arrest any suspects. They further believe that “the fire was caused by the [unauthorized] electrical wiring used to steal electricity.”

The pending charges include cultivating marijuana, utility theft, and unlawfully causing a fire.

The SBSD says, “Anyone with information regarding this investigation or is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division at (909) 387-8400.  Callers wishing to remain anonymous are urged to call the We-tip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463) or you may leave information on the We-Tip Hotline at www.wetip.com.”
