Two Narcotic Arrests Following Traffic Stop in Anderson

ANDERSON — On June 25th just before 11:30 PM, police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Ferry Street to investigate a domestic disturbance.

While en route, 29-year-old Andre Kuhlman left the residence in his vehicle. He was stopped a short time later in the area of Freeman and North.

During contact, police determined that Kuhlman’s behavior matched that of a person under the influence of narcotics.

Anderson PD reports in a press release that, “Kuhlman was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) from Anderson P.D. and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.” He was arrested and booked into Shasta County Jail.

Kuhlman’s passenger, identified as 36-year-old Desmond Alden, was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and providing a false name to police.
