MERCED — On May 31st, the Gang Violence Suppression Unit arrived on the 1300 block of West 16th, where they arrested 25-year-old Gilbert Guerrero.
A parole search was carried out, during which officers discovered a loaded 9mm handgun and ammunition. Being that Guerrero is a convicted felon, he is forbidden from owning firearms. He was taken into custody on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and gang enhancements.
