Two Arrested after Brawl in Auburn

AUBURN — On May 13th just after 8:30 PM, police were alerted that a physical altercation between 15 or so people went down on Lincoln Way.

Investigation determined that two separate incidents had actually taken place. An individual by the name of Jason Browne (48) reportedly punched and kicked a man in the head during the first, the parties were separated, and a second fight broke out.

Another individual named Ryan Kaufman (43) punched another man in the head, causing injury. The two fights are believed to be related.

Browne and Kaufman were both arrested for battery causing serious bodily injury and are housed at Placer County Jail. Browne remains in custody on $70,000 bail, while Kaufman posted bail of $50,000.
