DANVILLE – One suspect is in custody while two others remain at large, following a brazen smash-and-grab robbery at a Costco Wholesale store on Monday night.

Store employees confronted three suspects on May 8, after one who was wearing a balaclava smashed a glass display case with a hammer and stole merchandise shortly before 9 p.m.

One man was tackled by employees and held down, until Danville officers arrived at the store located at 3150 Fostoria Way. The two other suspects being sought by police got away; one wearing the balaclava (see pic) fled in a car, and the other suspect fled on foot.

Kesean Edwards, a 20-year-old Oakland resident, was arrested and charged with robbery in the first degree, conspiracy to commit a crime, and burglary in the second degree. He’s being held at the West County Detention Facility, with his bail set to $220,000.
