GRASS VALLEY — On May 7th just before 11 PM, Nevada County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at a home on the 12000 block of Lost Lake Road to investigate a reported home invasion robbery.

Deputies learned that the victims had been getting ready for bed when their dog began barking. When one of the victims investigated, he discovered two men had entered the bedroom, one armed with a pipe and the other armed with some kind of compact firearm.

Both victims were ordered to the ground. One one failed to comply quickly enough, they were both stricken with the pipe.

The suspects then ransacked the bedroom and living room, eventually fleeing with “small electronics, cash and jewelry.”

The victims were transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for treatment and later released.

At press time, the suspects remain at large.
