Petaluma Man Busted with 23 Pounds of Marijuana

GARBERVILLE — On April 12th just before 3 AM, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office units conducted a traffic stop on Sprowel Creek and noticed a strong marijuana smell emanating from the vehicle in question.

Deputies conducted an investigative search and discovered approximately 23 pounds of packaged marijuana bud on the rear passenger seat.

The driver, identified as 29-year-old Luom Andrew Tran of Petaluma, claimed to have a medical marijuana recommendation that deputies were unable to verify.

Tran was taken into custody and booked at the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for sales, transportation, and driving without a license.
