Five-month-old girl among the injured
FRESNO — On Friday night, the FCSD was called to a home on the 300 block of S. Villa Avenue. They were responding to a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered five people who had been shot. One of the five was deceased, while the other four were taken to the hospital.
Within 10 minutes FPD had arrested the suspected shooter, 26-year-old Kyle Holaday. He had been struck by a pickup truck as he was running away from the scene.
The suspect was taken to the hospital in stable condition. He faces charges of murder, attempted murder, and animal cruelty.
60-year-old James Wilcoxson, Kyle’s step-father, died at the scene from his gunshot wound. He represents the fourth homicide of 2017 in Fresno county.
Kyle’s mom, two 28-year-old women, and a 5-month-old girl were taken to the hospital for injuries.
The family dog was also shot to death.
