SAN FRANCISCO — Police have arrested two suspects in connection to a shooting in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco back in September of 2016.

On September 29th, 2016, just before 1 AM, officers arrived on the 400 block of Ellis Street to find 44-year-old Shunsie Ellis of San Francisco suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite attention from paramedics and treatment at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, Ellis died of his injuries.

An investigation began almost immediately and, on March 11th of this year just before 12:30 AM, officers located and arrested 41-year-old Darrick Devereaux and 22-year-old Linda Jimenez, both of Stockton, for the shooting.

Search warrants were also executed on their home in Stockton, wherein police located three semi-automatic firearms and an assault rifle, along with nearly a quarter-pound of narcotics.

Devereaux was booked for murder, three counts of attempted murder, and multiple narcotics-related charges. Jimenez was booked for accessory to crime, as well as narcotic charges.

Both are housed at the San Francisco County Jail.
