SWAT Officials Arrest Domestic Dispute Suspect after Stand-Off

CHOWCHILLA — Just after 2 PM on Friday, February 3rd, officers arrived on the 100 block of Kings Avenue after reports of a domestic dispute.

Officers discovered that Buddy Baker had holed up inside his residence and was refusing to come out. After several minutes of unsuccessful negotiating, the incident was deemed a ‘barricaded suspect’ situation and the Madera County Regional SWAT team was called in for assistance.

Upon the team’s arrival and commandeering of the situation, Baker came out and was taken into custody.
